Tips from campers about West Cape May, NJ
- Obnoxiousblue Brattleboro is about 25 minutes south of the campground by car. Make sure to stop at the Brattleboro Food CoOp before heading up to the campground. Lots of great provisions. You can grab some spirits and even raw milk while youre there. After getting groceries stop and fill up your fuel tank at the bottom of Rt 30. Theres not a ton of fuel stations and the further from town you go the fewer stations youll find! Having fuel for your engine and generators will be a must if youre going to be staying in the area for an extended time. There are some awesome shops to explore with local wares, some great second hand and consignment shops, and SAMS Outfitters. They offer some great camping and outdoor gear. Youll find more than a few things you need! The adjacent West River is awesome for tubing when the water is flowing. Head up to the top of the river at the Townsend Dam and float down to the campground! Take day trips up to Jamaica or the Dorset Quarry, and make sure to visit the Dam Diner for some local home made breakfast!2 years ago Bald Mountain Camp Ground
