Make sure and go to White Sands NP. Go to McGinn's PistachioLand, which is right across the street for some tasty pistachios and wine tasting.

Nightly Rate: $55 USD
Small RV park just north of Alamogordo. Hosts were very responsive to our questions. Sites are well maintained. Across the road from Pistachio Land. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
