- 4MooreRoamsteaders White Sands National Park is beautiful and sledding there is a blast! Especially if you have kids. Lincoln National Forest is also nearby and is a nice change of pace from the desert surroundings. We loved hiking Little Apache Trail under the shade of the pine trees. We even encountered deer and wild horses! The historic downtown of Cloudcroft is really a cute place to visit. We also enjoyed the Alameda Park Zoo.4 days ago 575 RV Park
