Tip for Other Campers:
Valles Caldera National Preserve is about 10 miles away. There are a bunch of hiking trails within 5 miles.The road coming from the west is a poorly maintained gravel road, despite being labeled a state highway. It is best to come in from San Ysidro or Los Alamos....
