“Magnificent management ”

Stay for a month to visit Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge We camped at Chupadero Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
The Owl Bar restaurant in San Antonio is over-advertised and over-rated, and we had an awful experience there, from wait staff to food. Skip it, we heard the Buckhorn is better. Bosque del Apache NWR is the reason to come here for the birding. Fuel and all shopping in Socorro, 8 miles north.
Tips from campers about Chupadero Mountain View RV Park
- wwdiner Dont attempt to check-in to your site before 3pm. There is a security gate that requires a code for entry into the campground. You will be waiting in the parking lot. Like we did.11 months ago Rocky Gap State Park

Beautiful family farm with 6 sites
We will definitely stop here again when traveling I25 through New Mexico. We camped at Chupadero Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Buckhorn tavern in town was nice. The refuge is also beautiful even when the cranes are not there.
