Tip for Other Campers:
Be aware that the gravel road to the campground is long, steep and a bit technical. Go slow and watch out for the wild turkeys! Check out Salt Face Mule Brewery for good food and drinks! Less than a mile away.

Tips from campers about Campfire Lodgings
- Duran The park does not allow dog fences, pens or e-collars, so be prepared to leash/tether your dogs (or cats I imagine). Walmart, groceries, hardware, fast food all about 3 miles away. I've read a few questions regarding the road up to the camp. I drive a Ford Excursion and I'm pulling a 40 Ft travel trailer. I'm not worried about traction (4 WD) but the sharp turns concern me. Comments? Thanks...
