Tips from campers about Spencers Island, NS
- CiCe The drive up to the Dor lighthouse was fine in our Jeep. I wouldnt do it without 4 wheel drive. It was an ok view up there. We ate dinner at the Wild Caraway. When we tried to make a reservation they were full but says they could seat in on the porch. It was a small indoor porch with regular height chairs at a counter height shelf along a window. It was great though, zero complaints. I sat on my coat. The food was unique and really tasty. Theres not much else to do here. We enjoyed the rocky beach and a down day on our travels.7 months ago Old Shipyard Beach Campground
- TSPAdventures Eat dinner at Wild Caraway in Advocate. Call for reservations. Go to Cape DOr to see the Dory Rips. If you read or are told to eat at that lighthouse restaurant, dont bother. We tried extensively to contact them for reservations, finally got a hold of them to be told they only take outside dinner reservations if they have overnight guests staying there.7 months ago Old Shipyard Beach Campground
