MacKinnons is right on Lake Ainslie, which makes from beautiful views, a sweet beach, and a nice breeze. There are a lot of seasonal sites but they are well-kept and the residents very friendly....

The woods on the north side of the park have some nice trails for walking your dogs (or you).
There is a wonderful rail trail on the road to Inverness if you are looking for a nearby hike.
