“Very shaded, no connectivity”
Nightly Rate: $14 USD
This is a nice park to get disconnected. There is no cell signal, and the dense tree cover prevents Satellite. Otherwise, its a clean, quiet campground. It seems to be favored by local weekenders; M-F...

Tip for Other Campers:
Take the hour drive to Hillbilly Hotdogs in Lesage, WV. Its kitschy, but a memorable unhealthy experience. We loved it for lunch. Note: theyre only open Thursday thru Sunday.

Tip for Other Campers:
Be aware that the campsites can be first come first serve(at least ours was!) When we arrived around 9pm at our site there was someone else there, so my husband had to nicely ask him to move. The man was nice about it, and we just had to wait about 15min for him to pack up and move onto another site.
Tips from campers about Iron Ridge Campground
- Runner 1 When driving through the campground be careful of the bunnies.5 months ago Shenandoah Valley Campground
- jbuol238 Rockfish Gap is 20 minutes away and was the entrance to Skyline Drive, which was a lot of fun. We took it up north to Luray, which was good enough drive for us.Edelweiss was a fantastic German restaurant that was very close. There's a Mexican restaurant fairly close called Mi Rancho and its just OK. Fair Mexican food but what do you expect in Virginia right? I wish we had more time, and we would've tried to go over to the Civil War museum, which looked very interesting.5 months ago Shenandoah Valley Campground
- Nurse Adventure Only a few sites big rig friendly. Lots of low thick tree branches.6 months ago Shenandoah Valley Campground
