Tip for Other Campers:
Golf carts are the standard to get around the island but they are expensive. Daily rates vary from $70-100/day. In our opinion, the better option was one of the many taxis that offer rides to anywhere on island for $4/person. There is only one company allowed to enter the state park (Put in Bay Taxi) but there are one of the least reliable to answer the phon....

- Pat_63 Bring bikes for transportation around the island. Roads are safe to bike ride on, many have a bike lane provided. Bring water toys, kayaks etc.2 years ago South Bass Island State Park
- RobsRVn Lots of things to do on put in bay. Make sure to rent a golf cart or bring your bikes. Weekends can get a little crazy in town. But the campground was a nice and quiet.2 years ago South Bass Island State Park
