Dig for salt crystals. Super fun. We dug for 1.5 hours with kids of all ages from 1 to 17 and all enjoyed it. Lots of crystals to find. Watch videos before you go to have an understanding of what you are doing.

- KimBarboo Don't forget about your recreation passport. If you're coming from out of state, you can get it ahead of time online, but you need time for them to mail you your pass. Tip for Other Campers:
Recommend driving the National Refuge self driving route. In Cherokee there is gas, nice grocery store, Sonic, Subway, etc. And a Post Office. Also there is a sign for a steakhouse though we did not go.
