Tips from campers about Gold Beach, OR
- Giesis Golden Beach BBQ is amazing. Great prices too2 weeks ago Turtle Rock RV Resort
- fortune5 There is a Ray's and McKay's in town but we opted to do more of our shopping at the Fred Meyers in Brookings (35-45 minute drive). You can also go to Coos Bay for Walmart (1.5 hrs). Sunset Pizza is yummy if you want a good pizza and family-friendly vibe. First Chapter Coffeehouse and Kissing Rock Coffee were the best in town. For a sweet fix, amazing Clam Chowder, or a chance to peruse art and books, check out the Gold Beach Books and Art Gallery. Castle Kid is the only playground in town but the kids loved it. The library is awesome too. If you're staying long term, definitely consider a temporary account with the library. Probably best to avoid the post office in Gold Beach... (you can send your mail to Honey Bear and the wonderful staff will keep it safe and ready for pick up).
