Tips from campers about Pike Lake Provincial Park

  • GottaGoNow When navigating to the park, be sure you go to the campground (not to be confused with the day use area). There are signs as you get close so it's pretty well marked. In my opinion, the sites on the water are the nicest. The Waxhaw historic district (Main Street) is underwhelming but there is a great bike shop called Bike Depot of Waxhaw. They were very friendly and solved a bike issue we were having.
  • Bcash Bring plenty of leveling blocks, there is a good chance you will need them. Also, there are some good restaurants in Downtown Waxhaw (Emmets Social Table, Mary ONeills, Jekyl & Hyde, Maxwells Tavern, Capriccis Italian, and Adelas Mexican). Waxhaw Creamery has a great selection of Ice Cream treats. There are also several microbreweries in town as well
  • Jim and Janel Barnes Did I mention, bring blocks? Bring extra water hoses since some of the water hook ups are not on the service side of your site.
