Tip for Other Campers:
The Broadway on the Beach "mall" is not on the beach and is a little tourist-trappy, but has a lot of shops and restaurants in a small area that is good for walking.

We are going to the Myrtle Beach KOA in July and one of the reasons I booked it was it looks so family friendly. However, alot of reviews I am reading about Myrtle Beach is that the area near the airport (or the South side) is not very safe and kind of sketchy. Should I be concerned about this?...
