Mon Jul 13 2020We are going to the Myrtle Beach KOA in July and one of the reasons I booked it was it looks so family friendly. However, alot of reviews I am reading about Myrtle Beach is that the area near the airport (or the South side) is not very safe and kind of sketchy. Should I be concerned about this?...

We spent 2 weeks there last summer. We had no issues and didn't find it worrisome. The park itself ha 24 hour security, We had no issues and went into the local areas off the tourist main areas....

It certainly is not very attractive with many shut businesses and vacant lots. It certainly looks sketchy but that does not mean that it is dangerous. As mentioned, the campground itself is a complete contrast to the surrounding area: wooded, extensive, well landscaped, very attractive....
