Tip for Other Campers:
Foodland is just up the street and very reasonable for groceries. We did enjoy the Anahuac Wildlife Refuge a couple of days with lots of birds and alligators. Galveston is about an hour and Kemah is 45 minutes. We didn't do the Space Center as we have done it before. Not much for bike trails in the region.
