Tips from campers about McKinney, TX
- Carl and Patti The biggest concern is leaving the park. If you follow the posted route to exit the park you will have to make a SHARP left turn right before you exit. The problem is that there are jagged rocks placed to prevent driving on the grass. While I would normally agree with having rocks to prevent driving on the grass placing them in a very tight turn is not ideal. We live in our RV full time, needed to have some repair work performed and had to return our RV to the repair facility three days in a row due to parts not being available and having to be shipped from Dallas. This required me to make the sharp turn each time when leaving the park. I was successful in clearing the rock each day except for the last day. The sidewalls of my tires caught the rough rocks and damaged the sidewalls. I had to replace two tires because of the placement of the rocks ($550). Other people in the park said that this happens all the time. So, if you stay at Mesa Verde RV Park be aware of this issue when exiting the park.2 years ago Mesa Verde RV Park
- Jamama Took kids to the science museum in Lubbock. We had so much fun! Ate at a place called something different grill- its my new favorite spot! Will definitely be checking to see if other places we visit have one. Fresh, healthy, homemade food. Reasonably priced. All 5 of our group loved it from age 8-65!3 months ago Mesa Verde RV Park
