- Dana In Iowa Didnt really explore the town nearby. There is a golf course right next to the campground, if thats something you like to do.2 years ago McGowen Recreation and Wildlife Area
- StroodleDoodle Southfork motel/restaurant on the south edge of town on Highway 63 has very good food. Easily the best place in Bloomfield to eat. The Country Club (next to McGowen campground) is a good eating spot as well.9 years ago McGowen Recreation and Wildlife Area

The road out front is currently under construction so take your time and be prepared to turn when you GPS tells you. Finding the driveway is difficult if you are not looking of a bunch of traffic pillions.

Friendly staff. Clean, level, FHU sites. Alpaca farm a nice addition. Pool was clean and very welcome in the hot Texas sun. Convenient to I-35.Our site was in the an area set aside for short term use....
