Tips from campers about Blanding, UT
- rsegler The nearby Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum is Smithsonian quality and has one of the largest ancient pottery collections anywhere and ruins behind it. Admission was just $5. We hiked the relatively flat and easy House on Fire Trail and took amazing photos of the house. Natural Bridge NM was worth the drive though light rain and strong winds caused us to cut short hikes to the viewpoints on the loop drive. The Bears Ears Education Center is 25 miles to the South in Bluff, UT. Just a few miles further are petroglyphs at the Sands Island5 months ago Blue Mountain RV Park
- CampinSekos Too many sites to list. We took our dogs to Recapture Reservoir for some swim playtime. If you enjoy morning espresso, theres only one dedicated shop for this, and they close early and are closed weekends! But theres a place called Hunts Trading Post that also randomly sells espresso drinks and it was great.5 months ago Blue Mountain RV Park
- MarthaR I think the deluxe sites were worth the few dollars more, though the regular sites are also nice, adjoin open land, have younger trees and some mature ones and nice landscaping. They may have less road noise. We found that though there is some road noise during the day it was entirely quiet from about 11 pm to 6:30 am.5 months ago Blue Mountain RV Park
