Tip for Other Campers:
Look to ensure the site is empty, to include looking at the post to ensure there is not a receipt on the camp site post. Several Van Lifers who pulled out all day, only to come back in the evening, who didnt leave anything in the site.
Tips from campers about Horse Thief Campground
- timmye183 I am sure other have mentioned the sharp turn entering the park from the east and sharp turn heading out to the east. This trip was a bit different for me arriving from the west. As you approach from the west do not fixate on the large KOA sign as it is about 300' past the entrance. Approaching from the west the sign at the entrance is rather small. If management is watching maybe make the sign at the driveway a bit bigger. A panic stop with 30,000# of motor-home is not a fun thing to do. Tip for Other Campers:
Close enough to all the parks and Moab. It was a much better park for a big rig. Arche's NP only has about 3 spots for 40'. This park had plenty.
