We stayed here in mid November. It was cold at night but the night sky was awesome to behold. Stars and satellites were visible and so beautiful. We had most of the place to ourselves. Seriously so...

I am sure there would be awesome ATV trails close by. Supplies are available in the most of the small towns nearby including a Walmart in Ephriam.

bmerch Lots to do besides soaking in the beautiful views from the CG. Highly suggest a day cruise - several options. We really liked Major Marine - really tried to ensure we saw as much as possible. Nice walking trail from CG to the marina and into town. Enjoyed the SeaLife center (aquarium and rehab/research). Its $35 timed entry and goes to a great cause. If cruise ship in town, but tickets online ahead of time. Great downtown area - really good Gelato. Nice art shops (yes, I bought a pairing). Dont miss an Exit Glacier hike from an east loop to the harder 8 mile Harding Ice field Hike. No dog friendly though. Tosina Creek hike is also great and allows our fur babies. Fun food trucks & restaurant options. Dont miss the beautiful murals around town.
