Tip for Other Campers:
No campground wifi here wed love to see that as a future upgrade! We had excellent cell phone service through Verizon, though, so we were still able to read our iPads and watch TV at night, although we did have to bump up our hotspot plan to make that happen. “Nice park friendly staff”

Had a pull thru for a 45 ft toy hauler. Lots of spaces available but its off season. Not much happening in the area. We camped at Thousand Trails Harbor View in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips from campers about Thousand Trails Harbor View
- Topperace Colonial Beach is right down the road and worth a trip to the beach strip and eating at the few restaurants there. However, if in the mood for seafood, we do not recommend High Tides on the Potomac restaurant as the food is horrible...bar is ok. Better restaurant is Wilkersons Seafood Restaurant, just to the north of Colonial Beach on McKinney Blvd. Food Lion and Halls Supermarket are the closest grocery stores. We stopped by Ingleside Vinyards this time for a tasting/lunch outing. Leary of Virginia based wines, so never stopped by before, but our bad. We found the reds very pleasing, especially the Sangiovese and Merlot, plus you get a good wine glass to keep with the tasting. They do not serve food other than some cheese and lunch meats, but you can bring your own food and have a nice "picnic" lunch if you like...nice facilities...we had a great time there. If you travel a ways to the west, there are several civil war sites with nice hikes. But the place to stop is off Hwy 3 near Chancellorsville Battlefield, the Battlefield Country Store - great Ice Cream offerings, fried pies, deli that is always packed at lunch time...nice day trip/outing. To the south east down Hwy 3 is George Washington's birth place and Westmoreland state park that offer nice hiking and somewhat secluded beach access at Westmoreland park.3 years ago Thousand Trails Harbor View

“Secluded away from city environment ”
Nightly Rate: $76 USD
All the leaves had fallen, but believe would be amazing with full trees. Lots of shade. Enjoyed the dark quiet nights. We camped at Thousand Trails Harbor View in a Motorhome.
