Tip for Other Campers:
Elgin is wine country just to the south, worth a drive. Check out the Rocking K Market and Grill off E Old Spanish Trail to north of fairgrounds.
Question: How's the weather like in the area on the first 2 weeks of December? Trying to avoid snow as we drive from Las Vegas to this campground.
Answer:
We have been here at that time and no snow. May catch a little bit up in Flagstaff, but not much as we saw. But, you never know with weather....

Payson doesnt have much to offer. Whoever is in charge of the city planning/maint, tore up the entire downtown road works, and according to the locals, has been going on for monthseven stated that several businesses closed down due to thatBUT, the Wee Blue Inn Bar & Grill had some decent hamburgerstasty.
Question: We have a 44ft Class A Motorhome, towing a 2 door Jeep. We are coming from Monument Valley and want to know if 89A going south from Flagstaff is safe/not too curvy? (Looks like a small section is VERY curvy.) If it's not advisable, what is a better alternative? Thanks.

89A is not a road for motorhomes, very tight curves at top of canyon....
