Tip for Other Campers:
The Casemate museum is a mile or so away and tells a fascinating story of the post. Swimming, fishing, boating, shopping, and restaurants are all nearby.
I will be back. I would live there if it were possible, ut's such a peaceful place,

Vanguard Brewery in the old armory on King Street has indoor and outdoor seating (dogs ok), great beer anx food.
Tips from campers about The Colonies RV & Travel Park
- Barbls Ice & firewood available at entrance during posted hours. approx 1 mile to get to highway. At the highway is small general store associated with an adjoining campground for some supplies. Walmart in Potsdam; Tupper Lake has fast food and other restaurants, laundry, hardware store; Wild Center is recommended.7 months ago Cranberry Lake Campground

Tip for Other Campers:
Fort Monroe National Monument is a short walk. Definitely worth seeing. Beach/swimming area also within walking distance. If you live to fish, great place to fish in the bay. Music and drinks at Oozlefinch. Certain nights they have food trucks.

Very nice little campground. All back in sites. Only stayed one night so not qualified to write an independent review. Loved the views. We camped at The Colonies RV & Travel Park in a Motorhome.
