  Miles and Smiles Local lobster is very expensive. Take a drive to the more remote Schoodic peninsula (a non-contiguous portion of Acadia National Park) for gorgeous views, much lighter crowds, and better restaurant prices.

  LaHayne Family Use the island explorer busses to get around the area as parking is limited and hard to find for larger vehicles. We visited Acadia and Bar Harbor as well as Schoodic Peninsula.

  John-1977 The traffic light at the entrance/exit of the campground was its best feature considering the crazy traffic on Rt 3. Worth every penny in aggravation avoidance. Get your reservations for driving Cadillac Mountain exactly at 10AM two days before you wish to go or you are not going. Sunrise reservations are near impossible to get.
