“Quiet- hit the Fall colors perfectly!”
Nightly Rate: $25 USD
Site 20, back in, needed one board to level, water is close for fill up, 30 amp. Gorgeous. Verizon - NO SERVICE. Plenty of room in this site for dog to chase ball...tons of UTV and bike trails....

Did not like Gateway (closest resort) but Beavers and Deer Lodge (mmmm pizza) were both fun. Midway on the way to Butternut was the best. (Walleye sandwich and friendly). Stopped at Wolf Den in Mercer to see copper bar ... Beef O Rama in Minaqua, too many people for us...

Tip for Other Campers:
Mercer is a cute little town with nice shops, bars and restaurants. There are many miles of paved bike paths all over the region. Ironwood, Minocqua, Manitowish Waters and Bolder Junction are nearby and worth visiting.

Tip for Other Campers:
We prefer the food at Sunken Horse Saloon over Gateway, although if the Hideaway is open that is absolutely the best place for pizza.

The rate was excellent and the process for booking worked very well. Our site #6 only had electric. There was a sign that said fresh water, but could not find it. There are no dump stations or showers...
