Tip for Other Campers:
Check online to see if sites are available or drive around and if you find any sites not reserved (labels on site numbers) check in at the office. Plenty of hiking (Levis Mounds, four miles north) has beautiful trails and amazing scenic views.Fishing is supposed to be superb including Muskies!

Tip for Other Campers:
Get there during the daytime. Bring quarters for the showers. If any changes made to reservation, make sure you get onto the staff or they will forget. Also the convenience store in campground is closed, go to Dilly's instead.
Tips from campers about Russell Memorial Park and Campground
- Pat_63 Bring bikes for transportation around the island. Roads are safe to bike ride on, many have a bike lane provided. Bring water toys, kayaks etc.2 years ago South Bass Island State Park
- RobsRVn Lots of things to do on put in bay. Make sure to rent a golf cart or bring your bikes. Weekends can get a little crazy in town. But the campground was a nice and quiet.2 years ago South Bass Island State Park

Tip for Other Campers:
ATV trails are very nice. Great lake. Hiking and Mountain biking trails nearby. Trailer sizes listed on the site can be deceiving. We have used some sites that say a max size of 35', and we have put a 45' fifth wheel on it.
