“Wide variety of sites, good base for Whitney Portal”
Nightly Rate: $14 USD
Lake is nice and Mt Whitney / Lone Pine views are good and vary based on where you camp. We stayed 4 nights to enjoy the area. You can hear 395 semis. Depending on your hearing level, this may or may...

Tip for Other Campers:
Be sure to visit Manzanar Japanese Internment camp about 20 minutes north of Lone Pine. Even if visitor center is closed, pick up a map by the sign and do the self driving tour. Lots of interesting things to explore. Wander Alabama Hills. Hike Whitney Portal or at least give it a visit if you're not a hiker. Drive up to portal is outstanding.

Tip for Other Campers:
We moved to Lemon Cove RV park down the road

Tip for Other Campers:
It takes about an hour to get to Yosemite Valley from this campground so plan accordingly. Hetch Hetchy is close at 5 miles away. Carlon Falls was a nice hike when we wanted to hike but didn't want to drive to the park. Groveland with a grocery store is about 25 minutes away. No dump station. No laundry anywhere in area.
