Tip for Other Campers:
Tip: IMHO spot 48 is the best in the park. No fires - at all - bring your propane grill. No mats on grass - don't even put out.
Jay Cooke is one of my favorite Minnesota state parks. Tons of hiking trails. Good bike trail very near. The swinging bridge is not to be missed. We visited Jay Cooke State Park, no overnight stay.
Tip for Other Campers:
Cloquet and Carlton are close. Try Pedros for dinner in Cloquet and the Streetcar in Carlton.
