Question: Earlier reviews indicate limited Verizon service. Is service better recently? Due to health issues I don't like to be without a phone. Also, earlier reviews indicated breakers were in poor condition. Is this still an issue? Thanks for any info.
Answer:
Phone service not the best but we had Verizon and were able to text and use phone. I actually used my phone's hot spot to watch Netflix but there was some buffering....

Tip for Other Campers:
Be sure to take the main walking trail and veer off when you see the sign for the Boardwalk. It's only about 50 yards off the main trail and takes you down to a beautiful cypress swamp area, gorgeous near dusk.

Great camp layout, ocean front. Specious campsites, store, clean toilets and bath houses. We camped at Hunting Island State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Close to downtown Beaufort, good restaurants close by, kids playground and pet friendly.

Site 14 was not a great site, very close to sites on either side and very sloped. Saw may other sites much better. We camped at Don Carter State Park in a Travel Trailer.
