Question: Anyone stay on site S05? With have a 17’ travel trailer, no kids, like the quiet.
Answer:
We did not stay at S05, but the whole campground is pretty quiet. The main source of noise is NY 9 - some semis and other trucks, but really only during the day. You might want to be away from the road....

Nightly Rate: $54 USD
Owner was welcoming and helpful when we arrived. Our site had all amenities and was easy to access and close to the entrance. We had the use of a bathroom that was close by and spotlessly clean, but...

Tip for Other Campers:
We stayed to hike in the hills, so the fact that there is little to do in the immediate area was hardly a problem. Most people visit Fort Tic, which is interesting, and there is a wonderful view from the top of Mt Defiance (also a great workout if you leave your vehicle at the bottom and hike to the top - probably for hardcore crazies). The cafe at Fort Tic...

Answer:

The good: The campground has a great location close to the White Mountains (we were there to hike) and Littleton, where you can find most things that you might ever want on vacation. The guy in...

Tip for Other Campers:
Beer aficionados should check out Schilling's microbrewery in Littleton for their interesting selection of brews, and an extremely knowledgeable barman.
“Beautiful setting, airy sites, great amenities”

We camped here for 4 nights after a stay in a state park. This park is well designed on a one-way loop and the road is packed stone, which does not turn to mud when it rains. While there are still...

We had fun riding our bikes on the Cotton Valley rail trail from Wolfeborough, although a lot of the trail is between the rails and you need to be careful not to be thrown off your bike if you hit a rail at an angle.
We also had a great day in Portsmouth, NH - about a 1 hour drive. Gorgeous weather, very historic and great eats.
