Tip for Other Campers:
Ideal location to visit the many waterfalls and sites along the Columbia river. The town of Troutdale has a couple of bars and several gift shops and galleries. The visitors centre is worth a stop, the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Tip for Other Campers:
Only one highway junction from Athol and Silverwood amusement park. Athol has gas stations and a grocery store. Coeur DAlene is 30 minutes away.

Tip for Other Campers:
Fort Stevens (entrance across from campground), is a good place to visit with lots of trails and paved bike paths. Astoria has shops, a good maritime museum and the tram is worth a ride.

There is lots of sight seeing along the coast. Seal Rocks has a bakery and restaurant. If you need groceries Newport or Lincoln City have chain grocery stores.

Visit the Redwoods they are amazing. Port Oxford is worth a visit for the coastal views and the Coastguard museum.
