“Peaceful and in Nature ”
Nightly Rate: $50 USD
Peaceful location. Camping in nature but near a large city. Lots of scenic hiking trail trails. We camped at Catalina State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Such a nice park and the views of the mountains from campground are beautiful! We camped at Catalina State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips from campers about Catalina State Park
- Creekfinder If you need a rental car while in the area, the Oro Valley Enterprise office was great to deal with and is just a few miles from the campground. The Walmart across the road from the campground was perfect for us as we had flown to Tucson and needed lots of supplies for the trip home.3 years ago Catalina State Park
- Kona Boy Catalina State Park campgrounds face the Santa Catalina Mountains. Expect spectacular sunsets ever day of the year. The Park has 5,500+ acres of foothills, canyons and streams, and more than 150 species of birds thrive within it's boundaries. The park has several miles of equestrian, birding, hiking, and biking trails. And, the park has an equestrian center that serves as a staging area for trail riders.3 years ago Catalina State Park

Dinner at the original El Charro; Tohono Chul garden or Tucson Botanical Garden if you like that sort of thing. We liked the De Grazia Gallery in the Sun; driving to the top of Mt. Lemmon (changes habitat from desert to evergreen forest), my husband enjoyed the Missile Museum. Have a Sonoran Hot Dog at the best, El Sinaloense. Of course, Saguaro National...

I tried to reserve a site, but it looks booked out for as long as I could scroll. Any tips on getting a reservation or do sites get booked and then cancelled closer to the dates so I should just keep checking for my desired dates?...
