“Very Peaceful”
Nightly Rate: $37 USD
When we arrived, there was really only us and one TT in campground and left the next day. We camped at Horseshoe Bend Rec Area - Lake McClure in a Fifth Wheel.

Garmin took us in from Merced on 59 nice drive but a little narrow once in a while but manageable. Then took us to Coulterville when we left. It seemed a nicer highway till we hit mountains and it was terrifying. A lot off switch backs and very steep. Truck transmission went into limp mode. Could not get repaired. Tip for Other Campers:
The restrooms are really old and falling apart. Although, it shouldnt be a problem if youre camping in an rv and have your own to use. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. Water access close to a-loop.

Tip for Other Campers:
Gas in Mariposa is cheaper than La Grande. If you go to Yosemite NP, you can fill up the gas in Mariposa. Coulerville has no gas station.
