Tips from campers about Mancos, CO
- Pauln66 Mesa Verde National Park is just 1/2 mile up the road. Plan for a day to go see the Indian ruins, it is well worth it. You drive to the look-outs and most are just a short walk to see the ruins. You can book tours that you hike down into some of the ruins. So worth the drive!2 days ago Mesa Verde RV Resort

- Cookd7177 The park is 11 miles from Cortez and 34 miles from Durango. We visited both - Cortez for a Walmart run and fuel, Durango for a nice day trip. Unfortunately we were in between seasons for the train to Silverton and could not ride it. They do run it during the winter. The park is only 1/2 mile from the Mesa Verde National Park entrance.
