- jbuol238 Rockfish Gap is 20 minutes away and was the entrance to Skyline Drive, which was a lot of fun. We took it up north to Luray, which was good enough drive for us.Edelweiss was a fantastic German restaurant that was very close. There's a Mexican restaurant fairly close called Mi Rancho and its just OK. Fair Mexican food but what do you expect in Virginia right? I wish we had more time, and we would've tried to go over to the Civil War museum, which looked very interesting.5 months ago Shenandoah Valley Campground

The park is very old and needs major updating. The roads are bad, 1/2 of the homesteaders' trailers are in real bad condition with canvas covers over them. A lot of them need a wash real bad. There...

Office staff pleasant. Park is in very bad condition. This should be a 1 night last resort stop. We camped at Riverside Estates RV Park in a Motorhome.
