Tips from campers about Mammoth Cave National Park, KY
- gtguild Be wary if you have a big rig
- skiinghousedad Bikes are confined to old RR bed, roads and uncrowded sidewalks, hiking trails for foot traffic only. Lodge has limited dining choices but there's (almost) always a coffee shop and quick snack cafe open. All the food we tried was good .
- Peter Robert The Mammoth cave is a dry cave. So it wasnt as exciting as some of the others. The History cave tour was more like a 2 hour walk and 525 stairs with some history. There are other shorter tours that might work better. Some very nice paths for hiking or biking so try to not miss those too.
