Tips from campers about Mansura, LA
- ReedJay Trip to Madeline Island is a must, take your bikes ( or rent one on the island), bike to Big Bay State Park, hike the trails along the national seashore ( incredible views and scenery). IN Bayfield, don't miss the Gourmet Garage for fresh baked goods ( but go early as they run out), Pier PLaza for Friday Night Fish Fry. Around the area be sure to visit some of the many apple orchards to stock up on apples, pies, apple cider etc etc etc.3 years ago Apostle Islands Area Campground
- Radical Retirees Unfortunately, part of the brownstone trail has collapsed and is not yet rebuilt, so bringing the e-bikes back along the trail and using the detour was challenging as it involved carrying them up a really steep flight of steps. It was good exercise i will say!3 months ago Apostle Islands Area Campground
- Boo Bear Boat tour of the Apostle Islands was wonderful and we loved the town of Bayfield. We were not at the right season for a lot of the fruit, but enjoyed driving the "fruit loop" and visiting the vineyards and country stores. We really enjoyed eating White Fish Livers at Groenke's. Rode bikes from campground into Bayfield and took the ferry to Madeline Island to ride bikes there where we rode to Big Bay State Park.4 months ago Apostle Islands Area Campground
