Overall Rating

This is a rustic camping area located on the Wading River. Excellent location for canoing in Wharton State Forest. This is not for motorhomes or travel trailers. Perfect for tents and popups....

Tips from campers about Wharton State Forest, Bodine Field Campground

Show: All Tips Stuff to DoOtherFood & Drink

brendajoro Go to the falls and bison areas. This campground is in a fairly large college town. You can find everything you need here. Potable water NOT at dump station. Fill up at spigot in campground B5. Bring 2 camp mats in case of rain. Wish we had know all this before we arrived. Have fun and keep camping.

Mar_St Drive through the bison range and flowers on their prairie for a chance to see the magnificent herd. Continue the drive to park and hike to see the historic mill with a view.
