“Almost A State Park”

This is a nice RV Resort. Sites are very similar to State Park type of camping, wooded and out in the middle of no where. Las Vagas, NM is about 26 miles of this park, so that is where you go shopping...

Loved the park, people were nice and friendly. Our site was a little bit of a challenge to get set up level. Lots of shade and very quiet. We camped at Pendaries RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice hiking trail to the turquoise mind. 23 miles to shopping. No phone service for us. Park internet allowed us to stream Youtube TV.

We stayed in spot #35 for 3 nights. This is a back-in campsite with shade and is level. It is super deep and backs up to a seasonal creek. These outer sites are VERY spacious. Loved this park...

The 2.5 mile hike to the abandoned turquoise mine is worth the effort. The trail is well marked and affords good views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Damage from the 2022 wildfire is evident on the mountainside.
