“Perfect spot for exploring North Unit of TRNP”
Nightly Rate: $5 USD
Great spot for visiting the north unit of Theodore Roosevelt NP and also the northern trailhead for the Maah Daah Hey trail. We had no problems getting around Loop A and into campsite #1 with our 35'...

Tip for Other Campers:
Campground is very close to the entrance to TRNP, and the trailhead for the Maah Daah Hey trail was almost right beside our campsite; we hiked in about 3 miles, very good hike. Watford City is may 20 minutes or so away; decent size town with restaurants, groceries and fuel
“Lovely campground conveniently located to Theodore Roosevelt NP North Unit and Lewis & Clark sites.”
Nightly Rate: $5 USD
Spacious site. It is dry camping though water is available and there are multiple clean vault toilets. There is quite a bit of road construction going on between Watford City and the turn off...

- DrLewie The road leading to the causeway is narrow and twisty. A group of folks who live on that road are protesting planned addition of more campsites. They have signs up asking that the addition not be approved due to the increase of RVs on the road they fear would mean more traffic accidents. Probably a valid concern, so please obey the speed limits on that road.3 years ago Sun Outdoors Association Island
- Love At First Site The ride into Association Island is long. It passes along houses and summer cottages. Once you get past them you will get down to the water level. The road way is narrow but passable for RV's. It was about 25 minutes to Watertown where we found all the big chain stores and restaurants (Bestbuy, Longhorn, Texas Road House, etc.) We found The Zoo of NY there. It was smaller then traditional zoos but great for a quick trip to see animals like black bears, bald eagles and wolves to name a few.7 months ago Sun Outdoors Association Island

Conveniently located to the National park, road well maintained, clean vault toilets, generous sites, nice hiking trail head. Zero shade but otherwise a nice quiet site mostly empty in late July. Does...

“Spacious dry camping with great views ”
Nightly Rate: $10 USD
We looked at this CG as well as the Juniper CG inside the park and while Juniper is beautiful with a lot of grass and trees we chose this one because of the many mosquitos at Juniper. CCC has no...

Tip for Other Campers:
Take a walk on the Maah Daah Hey trail, easily accessible from the CCC campground. And of course drive through Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Great hikes in that park too.
