“Unfortunately it rained”
Nightly Rate: $26 USD
Rained today so trails were closed which was disappointing, but the park is amazing. We camped at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
I attempted the CCC trail (would be the second time) from the top down. After the .2 mile marker I lost track of the trail. Backtracked but still didn't find where it continued. There was a well worn trail but somewhere it switchbacks and goes down. The trail (?) continues and takes you to the road, walking along the road you continue to a parking area...

Bring what you need. Park store has souvenirs and snacks. They also serve hamburgers. Amarillo and surrounding communities are 15 minutes away.

Tip for Other Campers:
Great outpost in the canyon, cheeseburgers, ice cream and any supplies you might need. The hiking in the canyon is amazing.

Tip for Other Campers:
Park was extremely crowded on weekends with local citizens on the trails. Midweek was great.
