      During the summer, down in the canyon, all of the sites will be hot. Just outside of the park, before you go down into the canyon, there are several private campgrounds. It will be cooler (by some) up there....

      It will be difficult to escape the heat. Down in the canyon will be hot so plan on early morning activities. We stayed in Juniper loop and shade was sparse....

      None of them. In the summer heat, the Park closes hiking trails due to deaths caused by heat exhaustion. It’s extremely hot. We visit in Spring & Fallnever summer heat! We live approx 2 hrs away from it....

      Was up at rim 4 days before getting in canyon (Mesquite campground). It was hot both places. Look on google maps and do street view to see orientation of site. We have shade screens we attach to our awnings to help since all afternoon till sunset on our door (better than drive side if rig where refrigerator is for us). There is more shaded spots in Wolfberry. We have friends there in a 40’ class A. Nice orientation with sun and there is shade....
