Tip for Other Campers:
Definitely hike the Caves trail, Rock Garden Trail, and Lighthouse Rock Trail. You will not be disappointed! Bring water, and start early; there is no shade and the sun is BRUTAL!

Buy the Texas one year park pass $70 dollars for seniors to avoid the $8 a person daily fee.

- Ingine If you can only do one trail make it The Lighthouse trail. We also enjoyed the CCC trail. Laundry at Palo Duro Maytag in Canyon was $2 to wash for 39 minutes and $0.25 for 8 minutes to dry.11 months ago Palo Duro Canyon State Park

We enjoyed hiking the Lighthouse, CCC and Kiowa trails. If you are in a group, it's nice to have someone park at the end of the CCC and or Kiowa trail and shuttle people back. Expect a wait at the park entrance, often around 30 minutes. The Lighthouse Trail is the most popular and scenic hike in Palo Duro, so start earlyno later than 8 AMto avoid the crowds and the heat, as most of the trail is exposed to the sun. “Beautiful Canyon with lots of hiking and bicycling trails.”
Nightly Rate: $36 USD
Nice campground and facilities. We stayed in Hackberry loop this time. We camped at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in a Truck Camper.
Tip for Other Campers:
Stop at the Sad Monkey Mercantile and get a a locally brewed beer or other beverages. Interesting place with souvenirs and some camping supplies.
