Tips from campers about Norfolk, VA
- JohnTh Unfortunately the BBQ restaurant in Sabine Pass appears to be defunct, so choices for dining out are limited. As are groceries. And no gas. Bring what you need, and if you are unfortunate enough to have AT&T, go without internet during your stay. That said, it is a wonderful place to stay - the beach is right there, and there is a really cool boardwalk through mudflats/saltmarsh, which is excellent for birding. It is very close to Sabine Woods and McFaddin NWR.9 hours ago Sea Rim State Park
- RVL332494 About 1/4 mile south from the park entrance their is a very short board walk over a fresh water marsh. We saw a gator mama with two babes on her back! Further to the south there is a national wildlife area that you can drive around. First two miles paved. Next two miles were gravel. Good bird viewing and saw two barges comes past.2 months ago Sea Rim State Park
