We came to visit Gila Wilderness Area, great hiking and sight-seeing. Also came for Silver City Blues Festival during Memorial Day weekend, it was great!

Nice NF campground with lots of space between sites and lovely views. Vault toilets were clean. Water convenient. Easy back-in spaces. We camped at Whitestar Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tip for Other Campers:
Buena Vista and Leadville are about 30 minutes away. Lots of hiking and beautiful drive over Independence Pass. Also visited Aspen and Maroon Bells about 1 hour away.

Tip for Other Campers:
The Poudre River bike trail was about a mile away, easy to get to, and a beautiful ride. Also lovely drive up Poudre Canyon on Hwy 14.
