Fort Benton is an historic site with many monuments along the river front. Although the visitor centers and re-constructed Fort Benton were closed due to the coronavirus, we were still able to take a nice walk to read about the various events important to this part of western expansion.

There are grocery stores, restaurants and other amenities in Columbia Falls, and a bike path that will take you into town or up to the park. Lowes is a nice little grocery store in Tularosa. The Three Rivers Petroglyphs site is about 20 minutes north and well worth the drive!
