The park is very close to Camp Verde and its attractions (Fort Verde, etc.). The downtown area has many small "Mom and Pop" type restaurants, coffee stops, and bakeries. Tip for Other Campers:
Not much to do at the lake itself. Water sports I guess if that's your thing. There is a 10 mi bike ride on a descent path around the lake. Over the hill you're pretty close to Moreno Valley for shopping, food, etc. Costco is about 25 minutes away and the March Air Museum is not much further.
