Tips from campers about Sioux Center, IA
- Steverino If traveling from the north, take Rt 68 to Rt 219 South. The GPS will try to take you down Route 24 or Rt 26. You will hit every bend, hill, nook and cranny a West Virginia mountain pass can bring. Route 219 is much safer!! Bring your hiking shoes! Multiple trails and trail systems on and off campus. Check out Davis and Thomas West Virginia. Quaint interesting towns.6 months ago Canaan Valley Resort State Park
- Julie Throne If you are driving in from VA, make sure your vehicle has the power to deal with some steep inclines. Unlike the Western Mountain highways, we had several miles of 9% grade. We were fine, but NOT going the speed limit! There are tons of hikes in the state park, along with a bar/restaurant at the ski lodge. The town of Davis looks fun. We were only there for 2 nights and didn't have time to spend much time in town. The next trip will have to be for more nights!4 years ago Canaan Valley Resort State Park
