Tips from campers about Traverse City, MI
- wanderingholters Mackinaw Island is a drive but worth it!! Sleeping Bear Dunes as well.
- Jeff_McSpadden_495 This is the Cherry Capital of the world. The end of June into July is the Cherry Festival. There is so much to do and see in the Traverse City area it would be ridiculous to list them all. However, within an hours drive there are some really great Kayak/canoe/tubing streams. rentals are reasonable and you can go for a 2 hour, or 4 hours trip. Also, if you go to the Mission Point Lighthouse, you can stand at the 45th Parallel. Which is EXACTLY half way between the equator and the north pole. There are LOTS of biking and walking trails all around the area. All of them seem to be near a winery or distillery, weird, LOL6 months ago Holiday Park Campground
- Whitewolf53 Near to all things Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes.6 months ago Holiday Park Campground
